Configuration

Statuz is highly customizable to fit your workflow. Access settings by clicking the gear icon in the main window, selecting Statuz > Settings from the menu bar, or pressing Cmd + Ctrl + ,.

The settings window is organized into several sections for easy navigation. You can also search for specific settings using the search bar at the top.

General

Manage global app preferences.

• Sound Effects: Toggle sound effects for app actions (open, save, publish).
• Calendar Badge: Show or hide the scheduled posts count badge on the menu bar icon.
• Share Extension: Enable or disable the system-wide share extension.
• Notifications: Configure push notifications for post status updates and publishing results.

Accounts

Manage your social media accounts. Statuz supports multiple accounts per platform.

• Platforms: Enable or disable entire platforms (X, Bluesky, Mastodon) to control where posts can be published.
• Connect Account: Add new accounts securely using OAuth.
• Account Management:
  • Set Default: Mark an account as the default for quick publishing.
  • Enable/Disable: Toggle individual accounts without disconnecting them.
  • Nicknames: Add custom nicknames to easily identify accounts.
  • Reconnect: Refresh credentials if they expire.

Composer

Customize the writing experience.

• Auto-Split: Automatically split long text into thread posts when pasting content that exceeds character limits.

Video

Configure video processing settings.

• Export Preset: Select the default quality for video exports.
  • Social Media (720p): Optimized for fast sharing.
  • High Quality (720p): Better quality for general use.
  • Full HD (1080p): Standard high definition.
  • 4K (2160p): Ultra high definition.
  • Original: Passthrough without re-encoding.

Watermark

Protect your content with custom branding.

• Enable Watermark: Toggle automatic watermarking on/off.
• Watermark Image: Upload your own logo (SVG/PNG).
• Position: Choose from any of the four corners.
• Size & Margin: Fine-tune the watermark size and padding with multiplier controls.

Keyboard

Customize global shortcuts to access Statuz from anywhere.

• Composer: Default Cmd + Ctrl + C.
• Schedule: Default Cmd + Ctrl + S.
• Settings: Default Cmd + Ctrl + ,.
• Recording Mode: Click any shortcut field to record a new custom key combination.

MCP Server

Configure the built-in AI assistant integration.

• Enable Server: Turn the Model Context Protocol server on or off.
• Auto-Start: Automatically start the MCP server when Statuz launches.
• Debug Logging: Enable detailed logs for troubleshooting connection issues.

Data

Manage your app data.

• Clear Data:
  • Clear Drafts: Remove all saved composer drafts.
  • Clear Scheduled Posts: Remove all scheduled posts from the calendar.
• Import/Export:
  • Schedule: Backup or migrate your scheduled posts (JSON).
  • Accounts: Backup or migrate your account configurations (JSON).

License

Manage your Statuz license.

• Activation: Enter your license key to unlock premium features.
• Status: View your current license status and device information.
• Reset: Clear license data (useful for troubleshooting).

About

View app information.

• Version: Check the current app version and build number.
• Check for Updates: Manually check for new versions.
• Links: Quick access to the website, documentation, and support.
