1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using Statuz ("the Service"), a macOS menu bar application for social media management, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Statuz is a desktop application that provides social media management capabilities, allowing you to post and manage content across multiple platforms (X/Twitter, BlueSky, and Mastodon) from your macOS menu bar. The Service includes features such as thread composition, media handling, video editing, post scheduling, and platform-specific optimizations.

3. Free and Premium Tiers

3.1 Free Tier

Statuz is free to download and use with the following capabilities:

• Unlimited manual posting to connected platforms
• One account per platform (X, BlueSky, Mastodon)
• Full composer with threading and media support
• Video editor with timeline trimming, subtitles, and silence detection
• Image editing with alt text support
• Calendar view and draft scheduling
• Share extension and global keyboard shortcuts
• Default Statuz watermark on exported content

3.2 Premium License

Your purchase of a Premium license includes access to additional features. This license is tied to your device through hardware fingerprinting and requires activation with a valid license key. The license grants you the following Premium features:

• Scheduled auto-publishing - posts publish automatically at set times
• Multiple accounts per platform
• Video export to save edited videos to desktop
• Image redaction with OCR-powered text removal
• Watermark customization or removal
• MCP Server integration for AI assistants
• Import/Export functionality for schedules and accounts

3.3 License Terms

Premium licenses are valid for one year from the date of activation. Lifetime (LTD) licenses are valid indefinitely. You can activate your license at any time. Upon activation, the license will be linked to your specific device. To continue using Premium features after the license expires (annual licenses only), you'll need to renew your license.

4. Refund Policy

We do not offer refunds. Because Statuz is free to download and use with unlimited manual posting, you can test all core functionality before purchasing a Premium license. Refunds may be considered in exceptional circumstances such as:

• Incorrect pricing charges due to technical errors
• Duplicate purchases
• Technical billing errors on our end

5. System Requirements

To use Statuz, your system must meet the minimum requirements of macOS 14.0 or newer, 2GB of RAM, and 2GB of free disk space. We are not responsible for service interruptions or functionality issues if your system does not meet these requirements.

6. Content Guidelines

When using Statuz to post content, you must comply with the terms and conditions of the connected platforms (X/Twitter, BlueSky, and Mastodon). This includes respecting character limits, media restrictions, and content policies. The Service supports various image formats (PNG, JPEG, TIFF, HEIC, GIF, BMP) and video formats (MP4, MOV, M4V, WebM).

7. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

• Attempt to bypass the license verification system
• Reverse engineer or modify the application
• Share or transfer your license key
• Use the Service for any illegal purposes
• Violate the terms of connected social media platforms
• Attempt to exceed platform-specific rate limits
• Use the Service to post spam, harassment, or illegal content

8. Privacy and Data

Statuz stores your social media credentials securely in your system's keychain. We collect minimal data: your name, email address, and license key. All other data, including posts, drafts, and media files, is stored locally on your device. Your social media passwords are never stored on our servers. 9. Updates and Support

Your Premium license includes access to updates for the duration of your license period (one year for annual licenses, indefinitely for LTD licenses). While we strive to maintain compatibility with connected platforms, we cannot guarantee service availability in case of API changes by X/Twitter, BlueSky, Mastodon, or other integrated services. The free tier always includes the latest app updates.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, failed posts, or service interruptions caused by third-party platform changes.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect through the application or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
